Meet the Team!
Meet our local school-based mental health providers! We are a team of awesome humans that love living, playing, and providing across Mono County. Outside of being mental health practitioners, we have families, fur babies, and a whole bunch of active and creative hobbies. We come from various walks of life and diverse professional experiences, and we are confident that our well rounded team will be able to fit the needs of our referred students+families.

Pon Tingsuk, PPS
North Star Program Coordinator
My name is Pon Tingsuk, and I'm the program coordinator at NorthStar. I've been educated as a certified school counselor and am passionate about supporting school-age students. My goal is to promote a healthy school environment mindset and enhance a student's belief in the development of the whole self and the ability to succeed. I am providing various levels of support, including universal instruction (Tier 1), peer-to-peer mentoring (Tier 2), and emotional assistance for students in crisis.

Angela Linghu, OTR/L
Behavioral Health Case Manager
Hi there! I have been serving in clinical healthcare and preventative wellness settings for more than a decade. My background in orthopedics and neuro rehab has helped me gain a well rounded mind-body lens. I love that I get to bring my diverse and holistic experiences toward supporting students, families, and schools in Mono County. I handle your referral paperwork, but you can also find me running school-based peer groups, checking in with students, and hosting specialty camps. When not in the office, I'm an avid naturalist, east-west herbalist, pet mom, neuroscience nerd, and energy practitioner.

Jarred Nilsson
Marriage Family Therapist Trainee
I have been a Wilderness therapy guide with youth in Alaska, Hawaii, Utah and Colorado. I first traveled to California to climb and spent quality time with friends in Tahoe, Joshua Tree, and Yosemite. It was through these experiences that I learned I wanted to become a therapist, and work with both youth and their families towards healing.
I have always felt connected to nature and its therapuetic elements. I think we all have a place and purpose in this world. Sometimes life doesn't make sense in the moment, yet when I look back on my own every experience and connection it all adds up. I am a big advocate for mindfulness, experiential healing, while finding humor and fun along the way. (Practicing under Brianne Fulton, LPCC.)
